Depending on the purpose of your journey to Nigeria, there are different types/classes of visas that are available to match your need. Generally, a person not a citizen of Nigeria, planning to travel to Nigeria, whether for the purpose of visit, tourism, study, work or residence, must first obtain a Nigerian Visa.
Applying for Nigerain Visa in Frankfurt Consul General involved two process: First Process is Applying for VISA and The Second is Submission of the VISA Application.

Visa Application Procedure
Step 1: Read the information on categories and classes of Nigerian visas to establish that you meet all requirements to receive the type of visa for which you are applying. Click https://immigration.gov.ng/#visa_category for category, class and visa requirements.
Step 2: Complete online application form by clicking https://portal.immigration.gov.ng/visa/freshVisa. Read more on how to apply and make payment online here.
Step 3: Submit application and required documents at the approved Visa Application Centres in Frankfurt.

General Requirement Specifications
Passport Specification
- Passport must be valid at least 180 days after the intended date of departure to Nigeria. If a multiple-entry visa is applied for, the passport must be valid 90 days after the last intended date of departure; and
- Passport must be valid in the country of issue;
- Passport must have at least 2 blank visa pages for endorsement.
Passport Photograph Specification
- Two (2) recent colour passport photographs taken within the last 30 days to reflect current appearance.
- Files with Extension jpg, png, jpeg are allowed only. Please upload a valid passport photograph with photo specs as below:
- Dimensions: (200 X 450) pixels.
- Color: Full color.
- Head size: Head must be between 29mm and 34mm.
- Background: White.
- Smile: Neutral expression.
- Eyes: Visible and open.
- Glasses: None, only daily wearing glasses.
- Headgear: None allowed, only for religious purposes.
Visa Application form
- Application form must be filled in correctly.
- The person(s) exercising the parental authority or the legal guardian for the minor must sign for the minor. Parental authorizations are required to be notarized.
- Application form is to be completed in English Language.
Biometric
Applicants’ fingerprints (biometric) will be taken upon successful submission of application at OIS Office in Atlanta and Houston. Diplomats are exempted from biometric enrollment.
Interview
Irrespective of where an application has been submitted (Consulate or VAC) and whether the application has been submitted by the applicant in person or not, the applicant may be called for an interview at the Consulate.
